What an AI object remover is good at, and what it isn’t
Removing an object means inventing what was behind it. When the background is simple or repeating (sky, lawn, wall, road, sea) the free on-device eraser does it well. When the object hides something structured, like a table edge, a railing or part of a person, AI fill is better, because it can draw a continuous line through the gap. Neither can recover what was actually there: the result is a plausible fill, not a photo of the past.
Tips
- Include the object’s shadow and reflection in your brush stroke.
- For long thin things (wires, cables, stray hairs) use a small brush and one continuous stroke.
- Remove large objects in pieces, working from the edges inward.

Can I remove a person from a photo?

Yes, including large 12–48 MP images. Anything over 4096 px on the long side is scaled to 4096 px while you edit.
