CleanMarks is designed with privacy as a core principle. Here's what you need to know:

What We Collect

  • Nothing by default: We do not collect personal information, user accounts, or analytics beyond basic Ahrefs web analytics (page views, anonymous usage patterns)
  • No user registration: The app works without requiring you to sign up or provide any personal information

Image and Video Processing

  • Temporary server storage: When you upload images or videos for AI processing, they are temporarily stored on our servers
  • 1-hour auto-delete: All uploaded content is automatically deleted after 1 hour
  • No long-term storage: We do not keep any of your images, videos, or processed results on our servers
  • AI processing: Images requiring AI inpainting are processed through Vercel AI Gateway using GPT-5-nano model

Client-Side Storage

We use your browser's IndexedDB to store operation history, saved watermark templates, and user preferences. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time.

Third-Party Services

  • Ahrefs Web Analytics: Basic web analytics (page views, anonymous browsing patterns)
  • Vercel AI Gateway: Used for AI-powered image inpainting (GPT-5-nano model)
  • No other tracking: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking services
